I'll agree with the note on 2/22/17 (Ron Slye)...this was in a lovely spot, an explanation point on the Vox Populi name in that as a 100% Mourvedre it can be a very dominating wine but in this style and with 8+ years age, this was just singing on this night. Could easily go several years longer based on the structure and fruit. We paired with Strip Steak in red wine jus and a seasoned Lamb shank, and it just worked beautifully. Definite kudos to Billo and Pinto for producing one of the few North American Mourvedre wines, and a exemplary one at that.
