Friday, December 1, 2023 - Beautifully preserved and one of the better Barbarescos tasted this year. Deep garnet hazy colour, amber tinge. Medium+ intensity complex aroma of sezamy oil, olives, balzamique, tobacco, tar, dried tomatoes, dried cherries, black tea, roasted plums, coffee. Medium body, incredible structure of this 52 year old Nebbiolo, saline leather, earth and bret scented dry morelo cherry flavours, hints of smoky roasted plums and oriental spices, high piercing acidity in sync with extra fine grippy tannins.
