Friday, March 29, 2024 - Pitch dark in the glass. Very expressive nose with sweet strawberries, raspberries, and vanilla. Great acidity, lots of red fruits on the palate that show depth and maturity but with lots of freshness. Some secondary notes of dried flowers, medium tannins; long and lingering ending with cedar wood and a hint of white pepper. My first Turley - it did not disappoint. This is complex, expressive, and extremely delicious. Petite Syrah is often an overlooked grape, but this wine shows what a good producer can do with it. No rush to drink it.
