Thursday, April 21, 2011 - I came across this wine while doing my usual search and destroy mission at the Wine Club in Santa Clara, California. Having never seen this wine before, and after reading the "shelf talker" that explained the blend to be 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Muscat of Alexandria, 15% small-berry Muscat of Frontignan, and 5% Gewürztraminer, my curiosity was piqued.

In the glass the wine is quite pale, while the nose is a mix of stone fruit with a flower component. However, these elements are more background music than anything else - in other words the nose is fairly subtle.

The flavors are wonderfully integrated and backed by serious acidity. From citrus to peaches, the overall taste is quite satisfying. While there exists a sense of sweetness, make no mistake, this wine is bone dry.

All-in-all this is a refreshing wine that for the price is well worth seeking out and enjoying through the summer.
