Saturday, July 11, 2020 - PnP, served at 62F/16,7C (which I think helps greatly, but that's probably just my palate). This was/is completely approachable on the PnP. That said, it remained fairly linear through the last glass. By linear, I mean it stayed in a fairly narrow band of depth/breadth/complexity. Some wines can re-invent themselves with each new pour, this remains pretty consistent from start to finish, and by that I mean cheerful, and quite delicious. It's probably approaching its mid-way point in life; a touch of primary, lots of secondary, and a glimpse of tertiary. The generous Fr. oak treatment is resolved enough for my (oak averse) palate, and the acids have just enough perk, so I say start opening if you've not in a while. The 14,5% abv. never had a chance to show itself as I kept this under 68F at all times. Medium/chunky sediment; drink thru 2025. recommended
