Sunday, May 28, 2023 - Decanted for 1 hour, but it needs more. Funky nose a first, a little barnyard to go along with cassis, mocha and cedar. The funk dissipates after 1 hour, to reveal a restrained black fruit and spice dominated nose. Austere palate, deep dark and clenched fruit. The petite Verdot sticks out in a bad way. Lacks finesse and pleasure and comes across as awkward at the moment.
