Saturday, August 18, 2007 - Another fantastic wine brought by Fred to the Slanted Door. On the nose, the tell-tale petrol along with a hint of tropical fruit. Clearly defined tastes on the palate. The attack seemed more white fruit; the mid-palate was honey-like with some spice and a very nice finish. I've tried other Alsace rieslings, Dirler and Trimbach are the only ones I can think of right now, and didn't like them. Dry riesling tastes sour to me. I think with age and a well balanced wine like this, the experience was a lot different.
