1986 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Community Tasting Note

Thursday, November 26, 2009 - Medium ruby with some gentle fading. Classic nose of black fruit, cedar, and a touch of herb. Medium to light weight, crisp, a pleasant touch of austerity and bitterness, but the tannins are well along the way to resolution. Good ripeness but no excess sweetness at all here. Excellent and probably at or close to a plateau that should be long lasting.
