Wednesday, July 24, 2019 - Day 1 - This wine seemed upon opening like it has turned into an old lady. Deep gold color with slight orangish edge. Lots of orange peel, madrization on the nose and palate initially. Opened up later (1+ hours) to reveal some of the peach, quince and lime that you'd expect. Some bright acid on the very slightly sweet finish. If you have any of this left - urge you to decant and drink up soonest!
Day 2 - Who'd have thought that oxidation helped this immensely! Gassed and refrigerated overnight. It has turned into a somewhat racy, alsatian-representative style with plenty of acidity to offset the stone fruit and citrus. Moral of the story - decant >2 hours prior to serving. 87-90
