Saturday, February 18, 2017 - First taste 15 minutes after opening was flat and unimpressive. We looked at each other waiting for someone to call spoiled (certainly possible for a 20 year old Brunello.). After another half hour it began to blossom. After an hour it was ethereal.
Red and dark fruits, mineral and roasted herbs.
Possibly the best brunello I've tasted. Glad we waited this long. Wish I had more.
