Tuesday, May 1, 2012 - Seductive nose of toasty oak, coffee and vanilla. Dense and plush on the palate, with ripe red berries flavours, followed by a subtle touch of melted chocolate and licorice in the mid palate. A lengthly plum-filled finish, but a bit warm on the tongue.

This second wine of Château Monbousquet exhibits its beautiful style even in the vintage of 2007 (I found commonality of this vintage that exhibits subtle tastes of sour licorice or Chinese herbal tea among some 2007 Bordeaux Reds)
