Friday, May 2, 2014 - Popped and slow o'ed for an hour. The one bottling of Cayuse that I have the least amount of experience with is the En Cerise. It's been on my wishlist for a few years but can't seem to get an offering. This wine certainly lives up to its name as it bursts at the seams with bright cherry fruit. That cherry fruit had a nice interplay going with some chinese five spice, woodsmoke, and natural earth. Not as much depth as the 08 but possesses a great purity of fruit with a polished feel. Really good bottle of wine. 93 pts.
