Thursday, January 22, 2015 - Lemon, spice, pepper and a wonderful pure mineral/limestone element to the nose that turns airy with swirling. I'm struck at first by the rich, tart mouth filling burst of flavor that assaults your palate, almost like a well structured lemon custard. There is some surprising acidity and very good structure for a 2009, with impressive length and flavor persistence on the finish. Probably the most complex $40 wine that I've ever had (this was a PC special).
