I takes a few seconds to detect the fruit--maybe blueberry, maybe currants. A bit of detectable drying tannin on the tongue edges and the back of the throat, but, still, an easy wine to drink. A great food wine. I had it with grilled blue cheese-stuffed rolled flank steak. While this is an excellent wine today, I would not encourage anyone to leave this one in the cellar for very much longer.
