Friday, April 5, 2019 - My first Marcus Goodfellow wine. Very interesting, not shy at all, which I like. Medium-light opacity and body but drinks bigger than it looks. An initial whiff of damp funk which faded over time. Red berry and sappy wood aromas as it opened up. Succulent red fruit coats the mouth with some bitter skin aftertaste. Medium big tannins, pushing just to the edge of being too dry. It finishes off with an acidic burst and a minute plus succulent finish of tannins and lasting menthol.
