Decanted for a couple of hours (was a bit closed at opening).
Nose shows roses and cherries, a touch of tar and more mature notes showing, with cedar and leather.
Palate with cherries and some raspberries, roses and a bit of tar and sweet licorice.
Lively fruit and still rather unresolved tannins.
Good, long finish.
Rather consistent with a bottle I had about a year ago.
Delish mid-priced Barolo, in a good place, albeit too early to show it all.
