Thursday, March 8, 2012 - Lightish raspberry red in colour, lots of forest fruit on the palate with just a touch of tobacco and pepper in the finish. Apparently 08 wasn't such a great rhone vintage which perhaps makes this wine much less concentrated than you might usually expect. In any case, this is a very accessible and drinkable CdR with good fruit, nice colour and texture in the mouth and feels surprisingly light for its 14.5% (which you hardly notice...not on the palate anyway!)
