Saturday, January 22, 2011 - Did not decant; utilized a Vinturi. Deep ruby, with violet. This beautiful Merlot has a lot of structure; tannins that are round and very present, while retaining a decent grip. This can age for some time. There's milk chocolate, blueberry, sun-drenched oak, blackberry and olive tapenade. Lush, dense and balanced, there's an obvious acidity that is refreshing. An ideal New-World Merlot that is not flimsy or over-blown by any means. I would wait another year. Drink 2012 - 2020.
