Tuesday, December 16, 2014 - Seconding @Pigdaddy's love letter.

Started out rather non-descript/bland during morning decant but grew according to expectations.

At Restaurant Tani we had a superbly balanced, youthful, elegant CdP with amazing potential for those better at keeping than we are.

No more btls, but as the price for this domaine has become insane, we will not join in with the choir of insanity. There are so many other wines that are as good as or better than this, that are available at a more agreable price point. At least if you blindedly examine what's in your glass more than you look at what's on the label.
...nevertheless, I really wish we had a case of this for the spread-out long-haul.

Superbly enjoyed with Restaurant Tani's magnificently fabulous baked cow-cheek (Tokyo).

So this is good but nothing extraordinary, right what I T
    think about most of ChdP.
I like very much your comment of what's on the label...
You know me....gonna wait until 2021 for my first bottle of this.
    Cheers

Had a fabulous conversation w/a Swedish wine guy in Tokyo during an 8-btl wine dinner on Friday and our conclusion:
The label drinkers are happy to show off, and that's fine.
We care (mostly) only about what's actually in the glass AND enjoy challenging ourselves.
I'm happy when I'm right, I'm happy when I'm wrong. Most importantly: I always learn. Yay :-)
Will surely enjoy exploring the wine World with you.

    12/28/2014 1:52:00 AM - Estimated couple,
Last 18th we've had a interesting blind tasting, full details here, imitating the famous 1976 Judgmemt of Paris. Main conclusions were the weight of a simple label and how pleasure is a subjective perception.
About ChdP, I don't know in Japan but I just paid 70€ for a bottle of such a category like this has.
Recently I added a pricey 2006 Bonneau Reserve des Celestins to my collection. Complicated for me to say when we can enjoy that one...2036? Once again you're invited. At that time even the label will be removed by time and humidity. It will ve naturally blind :-)
    Cheers!

I have an Australian friend that is the same age, is celebrating with me in Europe in 2016. And we will drink some wicked wines. I'm sure you'd enjoy our company, the wines, the food, the celebration etc.
...and let's promise to never stop buying great wines :-)
