How is that possible? I often give Lagier Meredith syrahs a good decant to wake them up, but typically there is something enticing there at the beginning. On the palate, tart and sharp, not the profile I expect of this wine. Came back to the bottle a couple days later by then there was some more usual purple fruit showing through, but this wasn't a good showing, and certainly not in keeping with other vintages that I have enjoyed tremendously.
