Thursday, June 9, 2011 - Tasted immediately after opening. Very dark purple, almost black. Nose of bramble, tar and ripe black fruit. Lush blackberry, black cherry and spice. Medium texture that carries the weight of the impressive fruit well. Good balance and a long finish. Exemplary Zinfandel. Best of the year so far.
