Friday, December 13, 2013 - This bottle was awesome. Luscious dark fruits balanced by lots of baking spices. Really delicious. Has smoothed out a bit since we had it a year or so ago. K really liked this a lot. Just enough acidity to keep it from being gloppy, and also paired pretty well with Italian food. But really enjoyable on its own too. Heat from the alcohol is not noticeable but peeks out a bit as this warms up above 65 deg. Best served at cellar temperature. Wish I had more than one more bottle and hope that the 09 is nearly as good. I love the fact that these Ridge zins benefit from some bottle age.
