Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, August 31, 2010 - Quite a textbook nose with notes of red- and blackcurrant, bell pepper, pencil shavings, leather (as well as some manure), oak spice, a hint of chocolate and some leafy characteristics.
Rather lightbodied with refreshing acidity and some tannin bringing structure. Aromatically in line with the nose, but also giving some herbal bitters -feel and a touch of liquorice. Clean finish with medium length.
This is an easy-drinking and food-friendly light Chinon. And I like it.
