Sunday, June 17, 2012 - Not my kind of wine but, structurally, it is well made. A big, honkin' California Chardonnay, this has very pronounced popcorn butter, vanilla bean, incense, smoke and cream notes on the nose and palate as well as baked apple and pear, grilled pineapple and a very full bodied feel. Never the kind of wine I would seek out, but with some lobster with drawn butter or risotto with mild mushrooms, I could see it working well.
