Sunday, March 27, 2011 - One of the few wines I've had that tasted like a first growth. Probably won't be a long ager, but drinking well today. Had that tertiary tobacco, cassis nose. Even on the palate had enough going on. Had good balance and texture. Silky but medium bodied. Surprisingly drinkable. Maybe it's the 2002 quality, coupled with a good wine? Usually 2000's Bordeauxs don't show this much development. Had it at Ruth's Steakhouse with some clients.
