Wednesday, April 22, 2020 - Decanted 4 hours. Tasted alongside Lafite 2002. Clear orange notes on rim. Ripe nose of light blackcurrant & redcurrants, gentle bramble, light lavender, fennel and a light fresh acidity. Palate has a good weight, but not too heavy; has a little tannic grip, some clear aniseed as well as gentle dark blackcurrant. Not too persistent on aftertaste but has a lovely balance and freshness. Clearly drinking very well now. Drinking now-2027.
