Saturday, October 25, 2008 - This wine was held at about 85 degrees for a couple of days because of the loss of power due to Hurricane Ike. So sad to be us.
The wine was excellent, however. The cork was pushed just a bit (see: http://picasaweb.google.com/dpiette/MoutonRothschild2002Dinner# ) and I was very worried. I have one more bottle of this and will probably drink it sooner rather than later.
The color was spectacular - very dark. Great nose out of the bottle. Dark red fruits, chocolate. Tasted of leather and chocolate - long finish, a little sharp at the end.
The layers of complexity on this wine were great. I wonder shat it would have been like had it not been cooked a little
