Thursday, August 17, 2017 - The last of our case. We decanted (had lots of sediment), and drank over 3+ hours. Amazing how well these have stood the test of time. It was great to taste these evolve over the years. Though past it's peak window now, it was still delicious - awesome nose, huge fruit with vanilla and some hints of licorice, cedar, spice. A huge wine, great body, and still fresh tasting. Tannins completely resolved, low acidity, and alcohol well concealed. It did seem to decline rather quickly near the 3 hour mark, so I'd recommend drinking over next 2-3 years if you have any left.
