Saturday, July 20, 2013 - Gorgeous golden colour, bouquet is full of buttery, nutty (walnut, almond) notes with loads of apple. Palate is rich and round, though heavily oaked (to the point where one might sense a burnt oak note), with a long lingering finish. Tannins are supple and acidity is perfect. Overall a lovely wine for a special occasion. Bring some big food, buttery seafood to the table. We had it with dungeness crab!
