Monday, June 15, 2015 - Surprisingly, some chunky sediment. Dark garnet. Nose: if Jolly Ranchers came in blackcurrant flavor. New world attack of highly extracted cassis, with a bit of basement funk and red currant. Dips a bit in the midpalate but a fairly long finish. Pleasantly gripping tannins.

Blurs the line between old and new world impressively. Charismatic and elegantly simple. If I did a lot of entertaining, I'd seek this out since it has the potential to please both sides of the fence. I'd drink it young.
