Friday, April 19, 2013 - Young berry purple-red. Intense fruit-forward nose on opening. Smooth on the palate with fine, subtle tannins -- not as firm as a year ago -- on back palate and finish. Red and dark fruit mangle with an herby, slightly nutty character. This will be with roast chicken and scalloped potatoes. Red meats would be nice, but I would go roasted chicken or pork tenderloin (my maple cranberry pork chops would be perfect!). Drink now.
