Saturday, June 27, 2020 - Interesting wine, in that it has a vanilla cream element that reminds me very much of Wehlener Sonnenuhr, but it still shows the Nahe fruit salad elements as well. There’s the barest hint of honey on the palate, and ample, but balanced acidity. It’s a bit lacking in presence/sustain, so not a remarkable wine, but one that states its case in a quiet voice. Unexpected for a Dellchen wine, as that site tends towards the brash and stern, but a pleasant quaff with room for development.
