Saturday, October 15, 2011 - Lovely wine, still young by my standards. It had an expansive nose with both oak and fruit obvious. It probably peaked at about the 2 hour mark after opening. Tannic at first, it softened quite a lot after an hour or so. It definitely had an earthy character to it as well as red and black fruit but seemed to be still evolving and somewhat non-descript at times. It may be better the next day as some other reviewers noted but I couldn't tell you since it was gone by then. Wonderful with lamb tenderloin!
