Tuesday, February 17, 2015 - from Mag and together with a 2006 Sassicaia (also Mag), 3hr decant. Ornellaia with a clear head start - fantastic nose and evolving a lot in the glass but also clearly less reserves compared to the Sassicaia which took a while but then showed its full potential. Very interesting comparison, no ,clear winner but Ornellaia definitely ready to drink while Sassicaia can stay in the cellar for several more years...
