Tuesday, December 25, 2018 - Amazing. Had side by side with 96 Chateau Margaux (see note) however this stood almost punch for punch. On the nose, tabacco, oak and black fruits. At open, prior to decant I found it to be a little green but that settled away within 20 minutes. Lovely black fruits dominated by currant on the palate. Super long finish. This was an absolute gem. Perfect level of maturity, however, I think there is lots of life left (10+ years). What a beautiful wine and an absolute treat. Merry Christmas!
