Pretty and clear like a pinot. Nice aromas. The first sips were really beautiful. As it sat in the glass lost a little fruit and the finish showed a hint of heat. A very pleasant wine.

Medium garnet with ripe plums and barnyard nose. Open an hour, lightly dry fruit, light acid, medium fruit, ripe plums, little tannins with stone fruit bitters. The ripe fruit is a bit flabby and appears to be on the down slope. After another hour or so, it's starting to show improvement and taking on the acid and fruit of a nice pinot. Given another night and showing some funky elements of leather and earthy tart fruit, watermelon, nice acid balance keeps this rockin'.

Pop and pour ... Light and bright, with cranberry, cherry and just a hint of sweet strawberries and cream. Not at all heavy, with very light touches of spice and earth. Showed best at cool cellar temp. A crisp red and a smoking hot QPR!
Another bottle down the drain. The drain being my throat. Consistent with past notes. This bottle lasted three nights and was every bit as good as the first night. No significant change.
Smells & drinks like an Oregon Pinot Noir. Very elegant with some spice & vanilla notes. Needs just a little time to bring out the aromatics. A good pairing with turkey.

Fantastic fantastic wine. Such a light ruby color I thought it was a pinot. Poured the first glass and still thought it was a pinot. Had to go back and check the label. Couldn't believe it. I have one more bottle, wish I had ten.
Light ruby, raspberry, cedar nose. Dry, light round fruits, ripe plums, tobacco with a little mineral. It's been open on the counter several days. Very light acid and tannins initially, developing more with time in the glass. Some candied cherries with a little menthol funk showing up for the party. A couple more days later it is nicely balanced, a little leather, very good. Don't rush it. The only down side is that I do not have a case. Let's have a Berserker deal for us cheapskates!

Great wine - this is drinking so well right now. Popped and poured. It's got some strawberry and some leather and some wood. Wine is bright and really started open although I imagine it will continue to evolve a bit. Wish we'd bought more than the one bottle - delicious!

Pop & pour. And really nice right out of the gate. Light ruby tone. Notes of black cherry, raspberry, leather, smoke, and a righteous acidity present. Some funk on the nose, especially at the start. Consumed over two hours. Was so impressed that I texted Smig while I was drinking it to let him know how much I was enjoying it.

Nice nose of blueberry, smoke, anise, leather, hints of funk. On the palate, smoky dark fruit, melted licorice, leather, herbs. Nice balanced finish, went very well with BBQ

Popped and poured. Pretty nose with raspberry, leather, anise, pepper, and great florals. On the palate, tart raspberry, anise, leather, white pepper. Finishes with a laser beam of acidity. Probably needs a while longer to round out. Great food wine.

Surprisingly light in color. Raspberry, leather and oak on the nose. While there's more Mourvedre in this than Grenache, it seems it is the latter that takes the lead in the flavor profile. Really nice.

Popped and poured, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium expressiveness, dark red fruit - pomegranate and raspberry integrated with Asian spice and dark flowers - very much dominated by the grenache. Palate: Medium bodied with tangy red fruit attack which is joined by an acidic kick mid-palate where the fruit fades but the spice intensifies. Finish: Medium plus length dominated by spice and tart dark red fruit.

Slightly tight and mild alcohol when first opened. Opened up nicely over the next hour and was very good by the second night. Nice red Rhone blend with solid fruit and more feminine characteristics.
Enjoyed and will buy again

Notes 24hrs after opening. Color is light ruby, about 40% opaque and a wide meniscus with rapid legs. Profound bouquet of red berry, roses, spice, and some smoky Mourvedre funk. Big body and smooth texture, it has a much darker flavor than the nose indicates. Dried cherry, plum, sweet tobacco, pie crust among the elements. Agree with the PN comparisons in acidity and tannin structure but the palate is all Rhone. Medium length, mineral-laden finish and overall, I have an impression of power and finesse that would pair up nicely with a wide range of edibles. Excellent. 4 +11+16+8 = 89

awesome summer red for Rhone lovers. This has the body and texture of a pinot noir but with deep fruit and some zing and spice like you'd get from a southern rhone wine. very well enjoyed.

Light in color, falling somewhere between a light-bodied Pinot Noir and a rose. Nose of raspberries with underlying earthiness. Much fuller on the palate than the color would suggest, but not heavy. Raspberry flavors predominate. It has a nice acidity that gives it a crisp, fresh feel. Perfect to pair with fresh baguette and cheese (which is what I did).

Gorgeous nose of raspberry, rose, fresh mud, almost pinot like. Palate is light but body is full, if that makes any sense. Flavors on palate follow nose, with a touch of smoke. Not as gamey as most mouvedre wines I've tried, but extremely smooth drinking.

Beserkerfest Napa Halloween Party (Napa Valley Wine & Cigar): If Dave Smig hadn't been next to me, I might have thought this was a rose. It is very light in color. That did not translate to the body though as this has some weight to it. Slightly earthy aromas with some stewed meaty qualities. Also some black raspberries. On the palate, this is clean with raspberries and some black raspberries. Nice finish. Very nice wine.

Quite light in color, almost reminiscent of a Pinot Noir.
The nose is earthy, brambly, celery seed, super nice funk, a little bit of a lifted/VA note, subtle, not overdone.
Palate is deep, sour cherry, raspberry, savory, mineral, with nice acidity. Deeply sweet and sour, light but well balanced.
Very enjoyable!

PnP. Still going strong but is a touch hot as others have noted. Wish there had been more of this as I would have definitely bought a lot more.
