Dark garnet colored, medium full bodied, firm structured backbone, nicely balanced, whisper of spearmint and vanilla highlight complex black berry fruits, notes of earthy spice, tobacco and leather notes with firm gripping but silky smooth tannins on the lingering finish. Must be at its apex at a dozen plus one years. Tasted from wine list at Italian Village CHICAGO.
No rating, either jusy a past peak bottling or it was mildly oxidized/somehow tainted. Should have cracked a few years earlier i guess. Color was still faitly vibrant, muted fruit aromas and lack of life(acidity) on the palate. Oh well

Medium maroon tinged color. PNP, drank 2+ glasses over 3 hours. I think this is in the right spot now, it can go a bit further ,but I see no great reason to push it. The nose offers a mix of cherry, spiced cherry, spices, red and black licorice, plum and good dose of earth. The palate is medium body, dried cherry, spiced cherry, plum, spice cake, anise, and dried earth. Tannins though noticeable are tame enough for this to work well even without food.

very clear, brick/sweet cherry colour. really noble. nose: very soft; some plums, sweter cherry notes behind and oaky aromas. taste: high acidity; integrated ripe tannins; leather nad other animal notes; very long finish. Opened in the right time. Excellent Brunello.

Garnet with some orange tint, after half an hour in decanter opens with nice red berries, cherries, cedar box, sweet spices. On the palate - fresh, balanced, silky, tasty, medium plus finish. Very good wine at very good point of its life. Probably still have many good years ahead, but I would guess that now is the best time to enjoy. We'll check this with our last bottle year from now :-)...

This surprised me... had low expectations for some reason. Nose was just a bit funky so concerns continued but that blew off after a few minutes in the decanter. Fruit was nice, bright, great acidity to it. I guess I need to start aging some more Brunello as this was fantastic.

Sour cherries, mint, some secondary characteristics like leather,
Palate- sour cherries, mint, leather with softer tannins, medium acidity in a full body. Quite nice with air but teetering on the brink. Enjoy asap.

Had with a ribeye steak. Great nose and great flavor. Finish was a little green, but all in all a nice bottle to drink.
