Medium plus body. Blackberry and some sour cherry notes. More acidic in mid palate than anticipated for this age and a bit flat on the finish. Was better a few years ago but drinkable now. Just don’t expect too much.

Purple color with a barnyard aroma, but with a rather compelling and pure flavor of red cherries. The wine would need more nuance and balance, and a more elegant finish, to get a higher rating, but still quite good, with the aroma not carried over to the taste. Much better than the previous bottle.

Purple color with a nose that smelled like a wet dog. Plum flavor with a pepper finish. Rather mono-dimensional with little depth or nuance, and with a fairly short finish. Nothing to write home about. Could be another over-rated Parker wine, or just over the hill.

From a Magnum. Medium body, good concentration, well-balanced, smooth integrated dark fruit flavors, no noticeable oak, nice medium-length finish. A fine bottle!

Very nice! Port nose, blackberry palate. Smooth and balanced with full body.

I'm not going to rate this because it is obviously past its peak. It opened up over time, but not enough to be great.

Bought this as Carolina Wine Co rates as "95 points"! Drank over two days. Thick, extracted, lots of tannins...not a lot of other flavors. Muted.

Spicy, rich, minimally tannic. Dark red fruits. Went well with Mexican food
