  • Showing the grace of her age and yet retains some youthful spunk. Smooth, dark, and lush in the glass. A nice "mid fruit" splash. Touch heat on the backend dissipates with a few hours. Integrated Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre in almost equal parts. Earthiness and some spice. In a fine drinking window, don't think holding will improve the profile.
    Drank from magnum.

  • Wow- bottle variation or something. Wasn't flawed- but unbalanced and harsh. Opened 90 mins before drinking and was drank over 4 hours. Something just seem off and unbalance- the wine was fighting itself all night. Improved slightly with air- from 80-85 at the end of the night. Was disappointed with this wine. Wasn't bad- but when comparing to other Sans Liege wines- this wine fell short (I joined the wine club after drinking this- and love their other stuff). Alc was definitely present. Two other ITB people thought the same.

Maybe bottle shock too? Was in a car for 4+ hours (freeway). Was kept at correct temp.

  • Awsome! Great GSM, nice and dry but lively on the tongue.
