Bottle needed to be consumed. Again, CellarTracker drink by information was correct. Wine was very good when first opened but turned to tasting like mature fruit pretty quickly.

This bottle drank the best of the two I've had so far. Full palate of red and dark red flavors, with enough concentration to make it memorable. 78% merlot and 22% cab.

STG. I hated this wine when I tried it on release. I actually like it a bit better now, but it is still not a really good wine. The nose shows the Walla Walla trademark of green pepper. The palate offers limited complexity with a tannic finish.

WA wine dinner at Kaspars: This red blend is the second wine of northstar. Tonight it showed much better than it's big brother. Vanilla and toast, with a touch of mocha, this showed decent balance and a decent length finish. Pleasant wine, albeit perhaps overachieving compared to the poor showing of the northstar.

This was a disappointment. Had it with pot roast. Iit had mild fruit flavors with a medium finish. I thought the 2001 was much better.

Pleasant medium weight with soft dark red fruit and low acid.

Seattle Tasting Group Washington Wine Offline at Kaspar's (Seattle, WA, USA): The nose is extremely reticent with a bare hint of cassis and roasted plum. The palate is chocolately and shows more cassis. The wine is nicely balanced overall, not huge but quite approachable albeit somewhat simple.
