I am torn over this wine. It is quite easy drinking medium in depth and finishes short to medium in length. Bouquet is present but has a restrained element to it. On the nose and in fact in mouth it is very "loamy earth". The flavors feel like they are just locked up.

This improved a bit with air but still lagged behind the 2010 Myriad ‘Three Twins Vineyard’ cab we had a few days ago. While good, it’s less delineated and lacks some of the drive of that wine.

this was unbelieveable- we decanted two bottles a bit longer than last night has to be one of the best; unfortunatelt trhe 2010 is sold out- will try one bottle of the current vintage

Very young tasting wine. Hard candy cherry flavors with a other bright red fruits. No earthiness to this wine but not fruity and sweet. In a good spot without a decant, not sure if this will improve greatly with more bottle age.......

Opened and slow ox'd in the cellar for about 4 hours. Nose with tobacco and blackberry. Palate with the same as well as a spices imparted by well integrated oak. Not overly fruity, but the fruit is clearly present in a nice overall structure. Medium finish. Really nice!.

very well described by Loren. Also a PNP, shared with 3 others, so never got that much of the wine. Clearly needed and benefitted from extended air time as tannin softened and wine opened. Clearly no rush to drink soon. good balance in the classic TRB way

Pop and pour. On opening the nose is great. Deep with cassis, graphite, leather and slight minty notes. Not as good on the palate at first; just monolithic. After about an hour this really takes a jump. The black raspberries/cassis jump out. The wine expands showing some complexity. It add weight and deliciousness. After a couple of hours, the last glass is the best. Needs air or time right now, but I liked this very much.

Not fair to rate this one; just too young and closed off. Let breathe for over 4 hours, but still didn't develop layers on the palette. Nose was wonderful, with bright fruits and graphite -- hopefully the wine develops in line with its nose, which has lots of potential. Have opened a few young wines from TRB recently, and this is the first that we felt was just too early to be approachable. Will not revisit for at least a year.

1 hour slow ox. This was mixed in with a bunch of other cabs, and truly was one that overperformed from my expectations. Terroir sticks out with this one. I really like this vineyard, and the two that work it really do a great job with it. I wish I could have tasted this side by side with Mike Smith's version.
I would echo pdemaio's tasting note. This did have some backend grip, but it's fruit was so opulent that the tannins were a small part of the story. This is a well made wine, that is true of its sense of place.
I'm glad I picked this up when it was offered, but I am a bit concerned about the price point. While it seems worth the original release price, I think there are others out there for sub $75 that might be replacing this as future purchases for me.
It is beautifully brilliant, and needs time in the bottle to shed some tannins. Hopefully the fruit doesn't shed, as it is a nice drink right now.
Decant for at least four hours to give this some air, as it needs it.

Great nose of with graphite, fruit, wood and spice. Vanilla. A powerful but elegant wine on the palate. The finish is long and rolling. Integrated and balanced. Smooth tannins. PDQ95+

Solid wine--and 90 points is definitely not a bad score by any stretch, although in recent years people seem to gravitate towards 95+ as if everything else is crap, which simply isn't true in my book. This had a lot of things to like--ripe fruit, soft/fine tannins, solid finish, good balance. It also didn't exactly stand out--there wasn't anything particularly memorable about it. (PE: 90)

Wasn't sure what to expect but found this to bea very approachable young delicious cab. Cedar, vanilla, dark fruit are rounded out by a creamy mouthfeel and nice finish for its young age. Plenty of leg room for this puppy.

Tight, but...beef and chocolate on the nose with some blackberry (darker, sweeter) notes on the attack but it turned the corner quickly with redder, brighter fruit. Creamy vanilla notes in there too. Needs to settle down and fill out a bit in the middle but Im happy with my sixer, or fiver now. Ill give them 6 months before I try it again (maybe

Night 1: Pop and pour, medium to full bodied, black cherry, mineral, and a touch of dust and oak. Something off in the wine which I can't pin down, maybe a bit of stem in the wine or the cranberry, that sandwich's note references. Vacuum sealed and put back in the cellar.
Night 2: The notes of cranberry and stem have left and the dusty tones have taken charge. The finish has a touch of heat and firm tannins. No sediment left in the glass but I keep thinking there would be from the taste (if that makes any sense!?!)

Pleasantly surprised. There is a lot of fruit and some nice round tannins which make this really enjoyable. Cranberry, cassis, and sour cherry dominate the palate and the finish is a solid 20 seconds. If there is a criticism it would be that the nose is slightly alcoholic, but that may be because I didn't decant. I look forward to trying the next bottle in a year and i will gladly stay on the mailing list for future vintages.

Aromatics of cherry and blackberry. Silky smooth, with great mouth-feel. Cocoa and dark fruit on the palate. Worth the splurge.
