Slightly maderized but drinkable so holding off on rating. Unsure if/how that will change the drinking window but seems to be in it's prime. Great evolution in glass over 30 minutes. Mid to darker red fruits. Some unctuous/structure backbone yet elegant. Very nice but not profound overall.

Opened and allowed to breathe for a couple hours before dinner. A bit lean, tho not overly so, and a nice nose. But the fruit wasn't nearly as lovely as the '11 Champans from the same producer.

Disappointing. At first, it was very shy. Some bright red cherries on the nose and pallet, with a very short finish. On Day 2, it opened - but opened to have a very vegetal nose that is almost pickled. Maybe Asparagus. Palate is fresh - but dominated by the green - not pickled this time, but more minty fresh. Regardless, not in line with any previous d'Angerville experience. I'm glad this was my only bottle.

Marquis d'Angerville provning med Guillaume d'A #7:
Rödbärig, apelsinskal, Nebbiolo lik, kryddig, jord, damm. Fin mognad, len och snygg, rök, mineraler. 93-94p

Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Volnay (Overgaauw Wine Estate): (Tasted Blind): A light crimson ruby colour. An appealing nose of red fruit, barnyard and savoury nuances. An intense entry with depth of flavour, nicely structured with poise and understated power. Fleshy red fruits add richness and coat the fine, firm tannins. The wine maintains a litheness that dances and lifts on the palate. The finish is wonderfully persistent, with cassia root notes adding complexity. Alluring and in a great space.

Excellent!

Quite developed red colour, mistaken for an older red Burgundy than it was
Red berry fruit of wild strawberries, some raspberries and violets on the nose, very typical Volnay aromas. No trace of green / underripe aromas which are typical for many 2011, actually we commented that it had to be a ripe vintage and 2011 was ruled out in our analysis.
Very nice and round on the palate with excellent length.
A very good effort from this fabolous vineyard / producer, very good now, but will keep for many years

Lovely color. The nose shows pure aromas of ripe red berries, spices, minerals, flowers and a hint of oak. This is medium bodied on the palate with very good concentration and substantial class. The long finish features ripe tannins.

The Verticals at La Paulée 2017 (The Rainbow Room, New York): Light red. Subtle perfume. Light and earth, some red fruit. Lots of underripe green on the finish. Just not much to this. When I tasted this 3 years ago, at La Paulée, I found it exciting. Either this bottle was completely dumb or the wine is beginning to succumb to the greenness that is affecting other 2011's.
