Powerful nose that fires in all cylinders. Wow. Petrol flavors jump out first, betraying its pedigree. As air took part, layers of key lime pie, pineapple, beeswax and salted butter appeared. In mouth it’s thick and oily. Flavors confirms the nose with notes of honey, lime, grapefruit and pie crust. This wine is barely hitting its stride. Long finish.

Very interesting Riesling. Golden yellow colour. Nose has the typical varietal petrol aroma with the minerality of Alsace, along with baked apples, almonds, honeysuckle. Viscous, elegant mouthfeel with medium acidity and a nice finish. There is a little hint of bitterness on the finish as well. A very nice vin de terroir.

Min venninne ble hensatt til sjøhuset og en annen beskrev vinen som «an airplane flyging through fields of fruits and flowers» - spot on. Vinen har bra med syre, flott struktur og ettersmaken sitter leeenge i. Dekantert i 3 timer, fulgt i ytterligere 2, pur drikkeglede! 92-93 poeng herfra.

Deep golden yellow colour. The nose was a bit shy at first due to the cold serving temperature. As it warmed up in the glas it revealed classical Riesling notes but the real stunner was the palate. The texture of this wine allowed you to experience its components one after the other which made for a pleasant experience. Mainly white flowers, citrus, honeysuckle wrapped in a blanket of acidity with a slightly mineral finish. On the second day I found a even more expressive nose but with a much less complex mid palate and a bitter undertone appearing in the finish. Great.

This is such an elegant wine. Despite only 7 years from harvest, this wine is well integrated, the rubber/petroleum notes in complete harmony with the discreet citrus notes and a whiff of pineapple. Wow, this wine is just magic and outdid any other wine we tried this evening (hake vergey). There is even a discreet undertone of sous bois - a reason, if any, to admire white wines. Magnificent.

Hints of petrol starting to creep in with white flowers, citrus, orchard fruits, and wet steel. Incredible flavour with such sleek texture, it's like an airplane flying through fields of fruit and flowers. The minerality on the back middle palate is so smart and crystalline you just can't believe it. Finish starts a little soft but then builds to an incredible crescendo. Stunning.

Light golden yellow. Petrol, citrus on the nose. Good weight on the palate, complex with plenty of minerality, white fruit and a herbal touch. Good length too. Very nice

Tasted during a WA event „a matter of taste”. Medium yellow. Nose of flint, white fruit, bee wax, petrol. Full bodied, bone dry (Zind notes it at 1/5 in terms of sweetness 1 being the least sweet) with very good aromatic complexity. Somehow the bee wax in the nose it reminds me of a Roussanne from Rhone.

Alsace Riesling tasting (At Halvor's): Light golden color. Elegant, complex and pure aroma with beeswax and yellow apples. Medium body, good acidity, and a long and dry finish. Not as "big" as Clos St. Urbain.

Zind Humbrecht Tasting (Cucina Povera): Clear, mid lemon color. Clean with medium intensity, underlying complexity underneath its austere character, smokey notes and mineral driven for now. Youthful Dry, medium+ body, intensity, alcohol (13.40%), high acidity, explosive palate, full, toast, ripe fruits emerge after a while, lime, citrus and tropical notes, medium+/long finish. Outstanding quality, drinking now (too young though) would be glorious after a few years.

Nydelig kompleks med gule frukt, sitrus og hint av petroleum. God lengde, struktur og harmoni. En vin å nyte, og var perfekt match til sjøkreps.

Harry Hadzidakis Presents Zind-Humbrecht (La Cucina Povera Reastaurant, Athens, Greece.): Quite tight and focused at this stage with noticeable flinty minerality, pain-grille, tart apple, lime, pineapple composte and herbs. Medium-bodied with high acidity and a long aftertaste. Needs at least 3 years to start unwinding.
