From magnum and my last bottle. Almost all of the fruit for this wine comes from Avise. 4th time I have had this wine and it has never disappointed. Perhaps the best bottle yet. Light straw color. Very chalky with lime and dough notes. Rather deep profile but fresh and lively on the palate. 94-95 points.

CWM Holiday Dinner - 2008 Champagnes (Pa Lian Burmese, Wheaton): Magnum. In a word, this is lovely, and ended up as wotn for a few of the group. Notes of lemon curd, toast and baked bread. Flavors of pear, bricohe and candied lemon. Orchard fruit, leon and wet dough on the palate. Drinking surprisingly well in this format. 93+ pts. (VM)

4th time I have had this Champagne from the great 2008 vintage and it never disappoints. This bottle was purchased in 2013 at the winery for $27. Like most of Bonville's wines, this is aging beautifully. Light yellow color. Moderate bead. Bread dough on the nose. Notes of citrus fruit, chalk, orange zest and brioche. Deep and long finish. 93 points.

Excellent wine. I purchased 4, I have drank 2, and both times, I have been thoroughly impressed.
The 1st bottle we drank had a secondary aroma of pineapple. The 2nd bottle (4 more months of cellar time) had a secondary aroma of caramel. Not sure on what’s happening there, but it only adds to the intrigue of the wine in my opinion.
Also, we drank this up against a 04’ Billecart Salmon vintage and the Bonville was better. The Bonville was livelier, more interesting, and really held your attention. The Billecart came across as a bit one dimensional and boring.
Msrp $62, and on sale at $50. For a vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc at that price, it’s a great value.

Opened by Mark. From magnum. Light gold yellow color. Much deeper, richer and more serious than when I last had this 5 years ago. Minerally with apricot and apple notes. Complex. 92 points.

From Magnum, Golden color, extremely fine bubbles lend a very lacy feel, Golden apples, and a nice mineral streak almost like a ripe Chablis with bubbles starts off easy with good balance and develops more textural grip with air. Good acidity here but it doesn't stick out but helps it stay focused. A very solid effort that drinks well but will probably develop more for at least a half decade if not more especially in this large format. Another excellent QPR form this producer.

Courtesy of Jerry, this was deeper and much more rich than either the Prie or Launois. Caramel apple, poached pear, brioche and toasted almond. Fine bead, with brioche, ginger, sauteed apple and stone qualities. Long finish. Wonderful.

Opened to celebrate the safe return, the completion of few projects, and the beginning of a long weekend. Pretty consistent with previous notes from 2014. Dry(maybe not as dry as I recalled but still considered dry for me...) , bright gold color. Nice bubbles, nice balance of the minerals on the tasting. Somewhat developed over the course of the dinner (drank over about 3 hours). At around ~45 a bottle, a good QPR. Last bottle in the inventory. It would be nice to have more but I will not go the extra mile to restock.

A bit muted on the nose. Granny Smith like acidity. Very tart and young in the mouth. A bit coarse mousse. Became softer and more elegant after an hour in the glass.

Alsace and Austria Tasting: Pear, apple, orange and chalk. Good acid, nicely clean with a lick of sweetness. Don't understand the hype even at the fair price, but it is just nice at best for me.

Fairly deep color. The nose is toasty and buttery, with hints of flowers and minerals. This is medium full bodied on the palate, rich and elegant as well. The long finish shows good structure and excellent acidity. Vibrant minerality. Great potential here!

From magnum. Almost all of the fruit for this wine comes from Avise. Tried the 2007 at the winery and thought I bought a bottle of it only to find out later that Olivier had given me the 2008. Score! Since 2008 is a far superior vintage than 2007. Strong bead. Chalky with citrus and brioche notes. A touch of red fruit as well. Round texture with a gravelly finish. No rush to drink this as Bonville makes some of the most ageworthy wines and this is no exception. This should improve with some age. 93 points

Brunch at Roux; David's bottle. Initially reticent, but it opened up beautifully on the table. Paler, more classic, elegant and green apple-y than the Geoffrey and my fave of the two.

I really like this champagne. I have never been impressed by this producer but this 2008 vintage champagne is very good. Good fruit..lemons and apples with great minerality and great 2008 acidity. These Are good now but will be better in a cool cellar for a bit of time. I am glad I have more.

Lemon, saline, chablisien. Med to high acidity, linear, bit of minerality, white flowers, refreshing. Extremely fine bead, lowish dosage. Young. Nice grower champagne!

Pleasant surprise of the bubble tasting... dry, bright gold color. Nice bubbles, nice balance of the minerals on the tasting. Enjoyable qpr that drinks well above its price range.

Few to no bubbles. Light, bright flavors, with some complexity, nuttiness, and some minerals - and fairly dry. Only had a glass - it was a good glass of champagne.

classic chardonnay on the nose, higher acid and linear as per the vintage. Not sure if this will develop into a great wine but a decent value nonetheless.

This wine has incredible potential. Despite some expert reviews saying the wine is in perfect balance, I would say it's a bit acid driven on the finish. A few years in the cellar and it should be phenomenal. 91++

Lekker sitrus og kalkmineraler. Stram munnfølelse med flott syre. Herlig konsentrert, og fin mousse. Brukbar lengde, med mineraler i finish. Ung, men virkelig deilig. Drikker godt allerede. Taper seg dog litt raskt i glasset. Nydelig til et par blinis!
