Brunello 1990 Horisontal Tasting (@ Canan): Nose: Salt water, sea weed, oysters and a little apple juice. Palate: Sweet yellow plums with a good amount of acidity but a little short on the aftertaste. Loads of rye bread. A solid and impressive wine for its age!

Jim's & Angelo's Birthday Wines at Vie (Vie (Western Springs)): Impressive stuff. Crisp nose featuring caramelized nuts with creamy lush element. Rich creamy in the mouth, very full with pleaseant nutty quality from age. Fat and dense flavors with good acidity to create good balance. Nice complexity for an older wine. Faded with time in glass with more distinct oxidated features, so drink up ! 95

Still memorable some five years after drinking it. A one off bottle from Europe that turned out to be one of the best bottles of Champagne I've ever drunk.

A great bottle and lots of fun given its rarity.

Typical signs of an beautiful aged champagne reminding me to a Yquem with dried fruits and a nice refreshing Yuzu note. 93
