Agree with others that this ready to go. Better with food than without. Buttery, with pear and apple components. Found it a little more accessible than Miner's flagship Chardonnay.

BUTTER. BOMB. This wine was served more on the chilled side, and allowed to warm throughout the course of the night. Served pop and pour. Poured a medium straw color into the glass with a thick meniscus. Nose was initially quite muted. After warming up, I was really only getting a little movie butter and a hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine expresses MUCH better when closer to room temperature, so these notes are with it closer to this side than the chilled side. The front of this wine is glycerine - butter and more butter! Cut through the jalapeno and chile in the soup quite nicely. The front is more mango, butter, and still getting a touch of honeysuckle towards the middle and finish. Almond and pistachio towards the middle and finish. To me, the wine was a little flat towards the back. Acidity is tame, and tannin as well. This one is much better with nuts, brie, and dried cranberries or with a meal, but isn't really the best "drink by itself" wine. If someone opened this bottle I'd drink it with them in a heartbeat, but I won't be buying more of this. This wine will NOT appreciate any more in the bottle, so best to drink it when you have the occasion!

As I expected this was excellent: buttery, tangy citrus, spicy apple and poached pear. Balanced and ready to drink. Made in the archetypal bigCalifornia style. Should drink well for another 4-5 years.

Paired with scallops with cream sauce. Full bodied with delicate oak flavor, but well balanced. Aged very well.

Needs to open up, but after an hour or so becomes the Chard I fell in love with from Miner!
