  • This is from Fürst's Lagenweine line, meaning single vineyard (Centgrafenberg). Similar to their Gutsweine from the same year (the Riesling pur mineral), the 2013 is quite high acidity and lighter in body than some years owing to the short season. Some green apple notes. Compared to the Gutsweine, this has more body and extract -- overall I call it medium body, a bit of oiliness classic for Riesling. Still fairly light yellow in color but darker than the Gutsweine. Again, no malolactic fermentation and no oak. Drinking fine now, but may peak in another year or two, and show well until 2018-2019.

  • Apple fruit, flowers, limes, minerality on the nose. Good acidity, slightly saline, well structured with good fruit, gentle and fine, juicy, good length. 91-92+
