Medium to full straw with hints of gold, very fine beading; clean, leesy, delicate and classy; mildly ripe apple with a lemon creme note on the very nice finish; elegant style.

This is well made, nicely balanced wine. It's surprisingly youthful and vibrant with great acidity and vigorous bubbles. This is showing quite younger than I prefer, which makes it suitable with food than on its own at this point (although, I'd still prefer it more mature).
I won't score this since I didn't take note, but I'd probably give it a 90.
Be very patient with this one.

A Great Day for Chardonnay: put in jars for transport and consumed about 2 hours later. Very surprising and youthful for a 21 year old Champagne. Nose showed toast, saline, lemon and a hint of orange. On the palate, the tiny bubbles lent to a creamy mousse with citrus and brioche dominating the palate, but also notes of herbs, straw and toast oak integrated perfectly. I would say this Champagne will keep longer, but is likely drinking at the top of its game right now. 93-94 points, no problem! Also offers a great QPR.

Single-blind Chardonnay (zoom): Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Light, acidic and zippy. Initially there is apple, pear and chaulk. As it warms up, yeast and toast come out.

Virtual Single Blind Chards (Home): Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Toast, yeast and pastry cream on the nose with ocean air, butter brickle, apple and apple peel. The palate is somewhat oxidative, apple, apple peel, white grapefruit, chalk, creamy pear, a bit sweet but countered by excellent acidity. A very fine 2000 that has been consistent over the years. You can keep drinking these over the next 3 plus years. 92+ to 93pts.

Excellent. So youthful and fresh, with a complex nutty creaminess on top of the citrus. Only very minimal oxidized notes at the end of the first few steps. Would not have guessed 20 years of age at all.

Never before have I drank a Champagne over the course of two days and experienced it as fresh and crisp on day 2 as it was when first opened. Had I not known the age, I would have expected this to be much younger. Exceptional.

I've always liked this wine, and this bottle was no exception. Dense orange cream, crisp apple, brioche, and just a touch of oxidative notes. Down to my last couple bottles of several cases.

A great value vintage Champagne. In my opinion this is open and ready for business. Full bodied and round texture with an almost petrol like finish. A nice way to start the evening!

Popped and poured. Drank over an hours time. Really enjoyable. Palate has blood orange / citrusy flavors with a bit of yeast and lanolin. Slightly oxidized. Improved as it warmed a bit from fridge temp. A very interesting and enjoyable champagne. Should drink well for 5-10 more years.

Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over dinner with friends at Colita. As good or even better than previous bottles; this has been such consistent and lovely wine. Toast, pear, green apple, light chalk, a little sour dough and just a very focused bottle. 93+pts.

Meyer lemon, orchard fruit, mineral. Very fresh and pale gold for a 19 yr old champagne - 01/2016 on the back label makes me think this is a recent disgorgement

I've always liked this wine a lot, and this might have been the best bottle I've opened. Very rich, round, yet precise. Beautiful pear and other orchard fruit, plus a nice white floral component, and citrus/lemon curd flavor and cut. Scant oxidative and yeasty notes make it even more interesting. I've read other TN's describing it as "good but not great." I used to hear the same about the '95 Heidsieck BdM which I also love. I bought cases of each, with no regrets.

Seems to be in a very good place right now. All the components of a classic champagne are here; bread, fruit, light oxidation and in perfect symmetry. Really good.

This drank super. FWIW, and I cannot decode the back label data easily, this is what I jotted down: L6/S3991 D2 12/2015. At 18 years old, this is fresh, with honey, lime and generous quality of fruit. This reminded me a lot of Vilmart, where the richness comes through yet it's not sweet. Delicious stuff.

I'm down to my last six bottles of two cases, and they're still improving. Finally starting to show a little nuttiness with age, but still fresh and vibrant. A perfect mix of citrus and orchard fruit, a little autolysis and perfect cut and bead. Drinks like a tête de cuvée at half the tariff.

My 1st bottle and certainly delivered above my expectations. Would never have guessed this was 17 years old. Very taught with great structure...nice mineral notes with acidity, apple and lemon pith. Very long and delicious structured finish with great balance between mineral laden acidity and taught citrus notes. Really good bubbles!!

This had a more aggressive bead than my last several; maybe it was the temperature or the glass at the restaurant. Still a beauty; much more drinkable now than the '02. I snagged the last three at Envoyer today.

Cruising through these way to fast. This is lovely stuff. Full nose is youthful with baked apple, fresh baked bread and mineral. Palate has nice energy and fine effervescence. Mineral-laced across the palate into a long chalky, dry finish.

So nice a bottle, Marybeth asked why we ever drink anything other than Champagne. A vintage tête de cuvée BdB at the price of a basic NV. This 2000 Lanson defies generalizations about that vintage. It possesses ample acidic cut, and is no where near fully mature at 16. Clean, fresh, minerals, and made in a taught styled, with good body and just the right amount of autolysis. I'm really glad I bought several despite not having tried them.

Not my personal taste when it comes to Champagne as I tend to prefer the meaty Autolysis of the Bollinger house but when it comes to purity of fruit matched with a 'light and tight' approach this really does well. I would drink over Pol Roger (not the Winston, let's not get ahead of ourselves) and Taittinger quite comfortably.
It's a teenager still, the life in this is far from gone - a must for a special occasions if you prefer the lighter styles.
