apple jelly, lemon candy, wow that lemon candy, white flowers and yellow roses, airy spice... intense yet glou glou, thick silky texture and cutting acid, so fresh, so complex, unbelievably good, best Savagnin EVER, for me anyway, this will be worth following many more years

Deep nose with yellow fruit, green apples, and orchard fruit notes. Lovely acidity with citrus and more green apples on the palate. Long finish. Lovely wine that's in a great place right now, but will continue to evolve in bottle.

Tues Wine Night @ Imperial GWC!: Yellow fruits, white flowers, tropical, slight pineapples. Nice acidity and minerality. Very nice. Enjoyed this tonight! 92/93

Slightly cloudy. Very expressive nose of bread dough, pears, citrus, wet stone. Very fast attack on the palate, pronounced acidic backboune while maintaining a certain creamyness.

Sensational wine, matched perfectly with creamy mushroom pasta. Big boy type of wine : Matchstick, mango and ripe papaya background, finishes with fresh green walnut bitterness and a laserlike acidity to wake your palate up. Despite its powerful body no alcohol heat, the inner tension wraps everything into a long tastebud adventure without any weakness. Acidity says it should be fantastic in 5 more years. 93-95 for me.

Complex palate with pretty good fruit weight, penetration and length, but offset by bright acidity and overt mineral. Nose wasn't giving much other than mineral and floral notes, but some fruit popped out later in the evening with warming. Plan to hold longer and will decant if opened in the near term.

Somewhat coiled, but an awesome mix of rich fruit, salt, and acid appeared slowly. It reminded me of a great, ripe Chablis, if a little more earthy in flavor. Fantastic, with probably a long way to go.

Nice, but needs some more time. Somewhat closed nose, just some apricot and melon on the nose. Lighter bodied for this wine, with strong edgy acidity, perhaps tension is the best word. Lighter fruits which deepened as it was open with a touch of light oxidation. If opened now, I recommend decanting for at least an hour. Otherwise hold this for a couple years. Has significant upside.

Aromas of pear and limestone. Vibrant electric lemon palate with a smooth rich lift at the back and a long acid finish. Utterly delicious. 50 + 16 + 16 + 9.

Peter Bothe's 41st Birthday (Boneyard Bistro): Nice but not particularly interesting. Citrus overwhelms everything else, and it's a bit too sweet for my liking. Maybe with some more age this would get to a more interesting place. (Drank from a magnum.)

Hadde jeg servert denne blindt og sagt det var Heymann-Lowenstein 2007 så hadde nok endel latt seg lure. Svært mineralsk, krutt, våt skifer, litt bløt leskende frukt av lime, pære og stjernefrukt. Pen lengde. Frisk syre. Svært bra vin.

13%. What a lovely Savagnin! Incredibly perfume, all sorts of white and yellow fruits with pear and peaches dominated, complex with salinity and floral scents. Lush and silky smooth, weightlessly intense, such juicy mouthfeel and richly texture with energies drive on the finish. As good as a Savagnin could offer. A heavenly pairing with 24months Comte.

A Jura Wine Tasting (Jeff K's): My WOTN and co-WOTN for the group I think. Light gold in color. The nose is about minerals, but there is also a bit of citrus qualities. Also a bit of herbals notes and even some charred wood which works here. On the palate, this is ripe with citrus tones and a bit of salinity. Very clean. Lots of depth. Some complexity as well. This kept improving all night so I would guess its future is very bright.

I wasn't a fan of the 2012 vintage of this usually excellent wine. It comes across very sweet on the palate and lacks the Savagnin funk of older vintages. Perhaps too young, let's hope.

Refreshing and almost chewy, big wine -- but balanced, long and with a decisive and complex finish.

Ganevat Bonanza (RR Frederiksberg): Impressively vibrating acidity. Very juicy and compact flavors but still pure and clean.
Great wine.
