With a robust home-made sausage pizza. Nose is dark fruit, tobacco, earth, ZIN. Ruby color is no longer opaque, perhaps a touch of brick at the rim. Great balance, lovely mouth-watering acid playing with mature tannin. Smoothed out nicely with some time in the glass. A great example of Zin.

My wife wanted a second bottle last night. She enjoyed this immensely last week, so we opened another bottle. Despite two in one week, there is no hurry here.

Popped and poured. Dark crimson color. Nose of ripe, dark red fruits, sweet baking spices, a touch of pepper and some American oak notes. Raspberry and juicy black plum flavors on the palate with some toasty oak notes. Medium+ acid and tannins gives the wine a nice backbone. A bit primary now in terms of flavor but quite enjoyable due to the freshness from the acidity.

Wines At Our Table; March 6 2016; 2/28/2016-3/6/2016: Garnet color with very appealing red fruit - raspberry, red currant, damp earth and wood spice aromas. On the palate this wine is all about harmony. It shows balanced acidity, well-integrated velvety tannins and focused red fruit flavors that follow the aromas. Lingering finish. It reminds me very much of the Ridge Lytton Springs in terms of balance and food friendliness. It was great paired with Stuffed Shells!

Opened this to pair with some BBQ Ribs. The nose is way ahead of the palate at this point with killer aromas of red fruits. The palate shows ripe raspberry and jam. This is certainly a fruit forward zin that will appeal to those that like the fruit to hit you over the head. It will be interesting to see if this develops any secondary notes with time.

Aroma: jammy raspberry with some floral and herbaceous notes. Palate: spicy cedar-inflected black cherry, plum and pomegranate. Woody, resinous notes hinting at rosemary. Moderate tannin and acidity supports mid-term aging.

Probably past it's prime. I thought it might age more gracefully. Throwing lots of sediment. It was okay.

Got this upon release from the winery, and stored in a wine fridge. It was bad. I would call it oxidized. I have one more, hope it isn't bad ad well.

Consistent with prior note, but the palate has caught up to the nose. A beautiful Zin.

Tasted at winery. 13.8% abv. This is 100% zin so no blending. Ripe blackberry and fresh pepper. Good acidity. Smooth mouthfeel and finish. Very nice.
